Global Equine Academy - On-line Professional Equine Training

ASSOCIATE DEGREES

Global Equine Academy has contracted with Dickinson State University and Western Dakota Technical to meet the needs of our students, who want to get an associates degree and to receive government financial aid. Both colleges are accredited through North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), which is the most widely accepted accreditation for colleges. Both schools are approved to offer federal financial aid. If a school does not offer federal financial aid they are probably not accredited.

The classes for Western Dakota Technical and Dickinson State University are listed below.

Ag. Business Option with an Equine Emphasis

ALL CLASSES ARE COMPLETELY  ONLINE,
you never have to leave home

Western Dakota Technical has two tracts.
The riding tract is for those students that want to work directly with training horses or students that want to learn how to train their own horses. The riding tract has four training classes and the students will need to have a broke or well started horse for these classes. The student needs to have enough riding skills to be able to walk, trot and lope a horse with a fairly secure seat.  The student will need a horse that they have exclusive use of, tack, video camera and a person to take the videos for this class.

The management tract  is for those students that want to be involved with the management or business side of the horse industry.  No riding classes required. We developed this tract because many of our students want to be involved in the horse industry, but they do not have a riding background and they still want to live their dream of being involved in the great equine industry. This option will let you live your dream of being in the horse industry without having to have years of riding experience.  Many of our students are involved in the horse industry by managing an equine facility, sales, marketing, breeding or developing their own business and do not plan on training horses as part of their occupation. There are many equine jobs out there that do not involve actually having to train horses for a living.  You will take Training Theory classes where you will take an in-depth look at the training process and then write papers on how the training is actually done instead of having to do the actual training.
